About

Kent Langley

Kent Langley is an AI strategist and operator. He has spent about three decades building companies, most of them in Silicon Valley, across data, machine learning, and the operating models that hold a company together.

He co-founded OpenExO with Salim Ismail and sits on the faculty at Singularity University. Earlier he held senior technology roles, including CTO work at Dell, and his startup nScaled was acquired by Acronis in 2014. In 2024 OpenExO merged with Genius Group.

Today he builds Founder OS, an AI operating system for founder-operators, and runs Factual LLC. He writes the factually newsletter and publishes essays, analysis, and field notes on AI and operational architecture.

His book Founder Scaled is an AI-powered playbook for founders of $5M to $25M businesses. It lays out a 24-month path to systematize the work, deploy AI to amplify the team rather than replace it, and reduce founder dependency until you own a business worth buying, whether or not you ever sell.
